for whatever reason, around 6 months ago..i agreed to ride in the ms150. it started as a playful dare; then suddenly the realization hit me that something that i have always resent, bike riding, would be apart of my life for the next 6 months.
and it was. from 6am training rides on saturdays..which means no fun on fridays! boooo! but, after finally making it to the race..and riding it successfully; i’m extremely happily i agreed. first, it was for an amazing cause. around mile 130 or so, i noticed a woman on the side of the road cheering everyone on in a wheelchair..holding a sign that said, “i have MS, and you are riding for ME. thank you!” that definitely kept me going the extra 30 miles.
i personally think that everyone should join in on this fun. this year, they had over 20,000 riders. why not 25,000, or 30,000? do it! if you want to know more about MS, please visit here.
thank you for all of my friends and family who donated, and supported me. and to you who are actually thinking about doing it next year..its not THAT hard. trust me.

i think most houstonians make the mistake of not appreciating the fact that we DO have an ocean only a short drive from us. yes, its not san diego; there could be sea creatures swimming around you..and you never know. regardless; its great.
sarai, sheba, and i spent the day there to celebrate our one year anniversary. if you are dog-hunting..get a german shepherd! amazing animals. FUN!
