fer juaristi | the workshop

there are certain photographers in this business that just have “it”. Fer Juaristi is one of those. i’ve been following his work for some time now, and when i saw he was coming to Houston I’m pretty sure I booked within 30 seconds. for starters i am generally NOT a workshop guy. no specific reason for that, but have never been drawn by someones work enough to attend a workshop; but fer’s on the other hand….i was there.

DWF | a recap

sometimes in the business we have an opportunity to give back. on a recent trip to new orleans i joined a group of very talented of photographer to do just that. these couples all were devastated by the destruction of Hurricane Katrina and their wedding albums were destroyed. we helped get those wedding memories a little closer to their hearts. ABC News picked up the story here. Here are some of my favorites from the weekend.

kate + steven | wedding

meeting kate and steven was far from coincendence. no doubt it was fate. steven and i actually worked together on a little short with the talented Ryan Booth. Steven was playing the “villian” and myself the FBI agent; running around in a hot building in the middle of summer with a bullet proof vest on. fun and sweaty, ha. steven nor i knew this until our first meeting; realizing “oh yah, we ran around a building playing good guy vs bad guy.”
